Here’s your go-to lineup for events that are equal parts playtime and parent-approved.
🦖 Dino-Mite Day
Where: Mesa Village Park, Round Rock
When: June 7th, 9:00AM–11:00AM
Why You’ll Love It: If you’ve got a little paleontologist on your hands, this dino-themed playdate is the stuff of prehistoric dreams. Expect crafts, games, and activities that stomp, roar, and giggle their way into your kid’s heart.
Good to Know: This is a great event for toddlers and younger elementary kiddos. It’s a morning event, so bring sunscreen and water, and maybe a toy dinosaur or two to join in the fun.
🎶 Old Town Street Festival
Where: Old Town Street, Leander
When: June 7th, All Day
Why You’ll Love It: This all-day celebration brings together music, local eats, handmade goods, and Texas charm. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day with something for every member of the family.
Good to Know: There’s a dedicated kid zone, live performances throughout the day, and plenty of food options. Parking fills up quickly, so plan to arrive early or use a rideshare if you can.
🍩 Donut Boat Day
Where: Lake Austin Calm
When: June 6th, 6:00PM–10:00PM
Why You’ll Love It: Yes, you read that right, donut boats! This playful evening kicks off with free rides in adorable donut-shaped boats (first come, first served) and wraps up with a lakeside showing of Wreck-It Ralph. It’s part adventure, part movie night, and 100% fun.
Good to Know: Boat rides are limited and fill up fast, so aim to arrive right at 6:00PM if your kiddo’s heart is set on floating. Pack a towel, a cozy blanket, and a few snacks for the movie. Bonus points if you bring actual donuts.

Why You’ll Love It: It’s summer, it’s lakeside, and it’s High School Musical 2 under the stars. What more do you need? Grab your blankets, your bug spray, and your best singing voice for a lakeside movie night with serious throwback energy.
Good to Know: Arrive early to snag a good spot. Outside snacks are welcome, and floaties or low chairs are encouraged if you want to kick back in comfort.
