Why You’ll Love It: Meet creatures that crawl, slither, and snap! The Austin Reptile Show brings the wonders of the reptile world to life with real animals from across the globe. It’s hands-on, high-energy, and totally unforgettable.
Good to Know: This event is free and open to the public, but arrive early, these shows can fill up fast!
Rescue Reading @ Austin Humane Society

Why You’ll Love It: Reading to animals helps kids build literacy skills while giving shelter pets some much-needed love and attention. It’s a win-win for confidence and compassion. Plus, who doesn’t want to hang out with adoptable kittens while flipping through their favorite book?
Good to Know: Bring your favorite stories from home or choose from a selection provided by AHS. All ages welcome!
Free Week @ The Contemporary Austin
Where: The Jones Center, Downtown
When: July 23rd–July 27th
Why You’ll Love It: Explore vibrant, thought-provoking exhibitions in the heart of the city for free. From immersive installations to contemporary masterpieces, this is a chance to let your family’s curiosity run wild without spending a dime.
Good to Know: Exhibits change soon, so now’s the perfect time to visit before they end on August 3!
Movies on the Lake: Finding Nemo
Where: Mozart’s Coffee Roasters
When: July 24th, 8:00PM–10:00PM
Why You’ll Love It: There’s nothing like watching Finding Nemo by the water with the summer breeze on your face and a cup of cocoa in hand. Grab a lakeside seat, get cozy, and follow everyone’s favorite clownfish on a heartwarming adventure.
Good to Know: Bring your own blankets or chairs. Snacks and drinks available for purchase at Mozart’s.
