📚 Summer Storytime at the Blanton Museum
Where: Blanton Museum of Art
When: Kicks off June 10th, 10:30AM – 11:00AM (recurring Thursdays through August 12th)
Why you’ll love it: Stories and art go hand-in-hand at the Blanton’s magical summer storytime series. Each week features new tales, interactive storytelling, and a calm, cool museum setting that beats the heat. Perfect for curious kiddos and museum-loving grown-ups alike.
Good to know: Storytime is free with museum admission and it’s a great excuse to explore the galleries afterward!
🤖 Recycled Robots Workshop
Where: The Contemporary Austin Laguna Gloria
When: June 14th, 11:00AM – 3:00PM
Why you’ll love it: This hands-on workshop turns your little inventor into a full-on robotics engineer (no batteries required!). With just a few recycled materials and a whole lot of imagination, kids can build a bot that’s 100% one-of-a-kind.
Good to know: All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own recycled treasures to use. Great for ages 5 and up!

Why you’ll love it: Cornhole, three-legged races, BBQ, and live music? Sounds like Father’s Day done right. Head to Lake Travis and treat Dad to a day of fun in the sun. Whether he’s competing or just kicking back with a plate of brisket, this one’s a guaranteed win.
Good to know: Arrive early to snag a good spot: Father’s Day crowds tend to bring the party. And yes, BBQ plates are as mouthwatering as they sound.
🎶 Father’s Day Concert
Where: Lakeline Park
When: June 15th, 7:30PM – 9:00PM
Why you’ll love it: This musical tribute is equal parts patriotic, cinematic, and unforgettable. Celebrate the father figures in your life with a live orchestra performance that blends classic American tunes with beloved film scores. It’s the perfect end to Dad’s big day.
Good to know: Many of these concerts are outdoors, so bring a blanket or lawn chair, and maybe some tissues, just in case the music hits you in the feels.
