Learn from the pros – These camps aren’t just about teaching Scratch code; real game developers teach everything from art to audio to storytelling. It’s game dev IRL!
Team-powered creativity – Campers from ages 8–18 form small squads and spend the week making a complete game prototype: code, art assets, music, the works.
Pitch + feedback day – Friday’s highlight? Players pitch their creations to a panel of industry judges, then celebrate with a late-night pizza party. Real professionals provide real feedback and it’s epic!
A Typical Week in the Sandbox
- Morning tutorials and workshops, led by seasoned devs.
- Group labs where campers build their masterpiece.
- Learn studio tools from game engines to sound editors.
- Final‐day presentations that end in fireworks (pizza party included).
Success in the Making
Game Worlds isn’t just fun it cultivates fluid intelligence. That means problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork: skills that are essential in today’s world. Campers walk away with tangible wins: completed games (think “Musical Mini Golf,” “Block Battles,” “Seeking Atlantis”) and increased confidence.
- Dates: Weekly sessions Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM (Fridays run late for the pizza party!),
- Cost: $725/session. Includes meals, snacks, software/dev kits.
- Location: 7950 Anderson Square, Ste. 109, Austin with plenty of access and ease for pick-up/drop-off.
- What’s included: Real software tools, catered lunch/snacks, pro-led workshops, and the whole game dev pipeline.
